Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Independent silent Western producer-director-star Leo Maloney played Jim Rutledge, a newcomer to the Pecos country who goes undercover as a ranch hand in order to flush out a murderer. He gets in hot water with Laird, the foreman (Tom London), who is pressing his unwelcome attention on pretty Rose Arnold (Eugenia Gilbert). Laird, it turns out, is the killer, conspiring with neighboring ranchers to dominate the territory. As always, Maloney both produced and directed this low-budget Western, which was released by the Pathé organization.
