Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The Franco-Italian L'Ombrellone stars Enrico Maria Salerno as a vacationing Roman engineer. He'd prefer a little peace and quiet, but his frisky wife (Sandra Milo) insists upon dragging him to party after party. At one of these Felliniesque get-togethers, Salerno notices that his wife is enjoying the attentions of a charming playboy (Jean Sorel). It's all quite innocent, but the usual complications and misunderstandings ensue. Also known as El Parasol, L'Ombrellone was released in the U.S. as Weekend Wives and Weekend Italian Style.
