In this "official" debut episode of Lizzie McGuire, Hillridge Middle School is a maelstrom of activity as the kids prepare to have their pictures taken for the school yearbook. Poor Lizzie (Hilary Duff) suffers a "fashion meltdown" when she agrees to wear the dorky sweater given to her by her mother; Miranda (Lalaine) and Kate (Ashlie Brillault) are at each other's throats when they show up in school in the same outfit; and confirmed nonconformist Gordo (Adam Lamberg) nearly succumbs to peer pressure when he opts to adopt a tough-guy stance when his picture is snapped. And back at the McGuire home, mom Jo (Hallie Todd) has just the right remedy when Matt (Jake Thomas) feigns illness to avoid a school test. Watch for the Mission: Impossible reference in one of the "Toon Lizzie" animated bits.
