Synopsis by Sally Barber

Internationally known naturalist and broadcaster of wildlife programs David Attenborough leads viewers on a 12-part expedition to the world's major habitats, showing how plants and animals have adapted to their unique surroundings. The entertaining and inspirational programs reveal places and sounds never before captured by cameras. In volume two, Jungle, Attenborough provides viewers with a close-up and personal look at jungle life. The natural scientist descends a kapok tree, which rises above the leafy tropical forest canopy. During his descent by rope, he explores the layers of the jungle. From this rare viewpoint, Attenborough encounters exotic plants and animals. Other episodes in this series include: Baking Deserts, The Sky Above -- Communities of the Sky, The Frozen World, The Margins of Land, New Worlds, The Northern Forests, The Open Oceans, Seas of Grass, Sweet Fresh Water, The Building of Earth, and Worlds Apart.
