Internationally known naturalist and broadcaster of wildlife programs David Attenborough leads viewers on a 12-part expedition to the world's major habitats, showing how plants and animals have adapted to their unique surroundings. The entertaining and inspirational programs reveal places and sounds never before captured by cameras. In volume 11, The Building of Earth, Attenborough shares the secrets of the powerful forces which have shaped the planet. The natural scientist takes viewers on a guided tour of an erupting volcano in Iceland. Program highlights also include a look at giant plants on Mount Kenya and the renewal of life in Krakatoa and Mount St. Helens.
