Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This gloriously irreverent animated series was an outgrowth of "Bitchy Bits," a group of cartoon featurettes based on Roberta Gregory's popular underground comic Naughty Bits, which in 2000 became a regular short-subject component of the Oxygen Network's grab-bag anthology X-Chromosone. Befitting its title, the series focused on the dating misadventures of three wisecracking single women in Los Angeles. Most of the fun was not in watching the dates go bad; rather, the real laughs came from the three heroine's near-scatological comments about the losers with which they were stuck. Life's a Bitch premiered October 17, 2003.
