Fed up with Mark's popularity amongst the citizens of Lidsville, evil magician Hoo Doo (Charles Nelson Reilly) hatches a scheme to kidnap Mark (Butch Patrick) and do away with the boy. In his efforts to save Mark from a grisly fate, Weenie the Genie (Billie Hayes) conjures up a magic carpet (using the enchanted letters "A, B, C" -- which happened to be the network carrying Lidsville back in 1971!) Alas, Hoo Doo lives up to his personal anthem, "It's So Much Fun to Be Rotten," by counteracting the carpet with a giant vacuum cleaner that sucks up anything (and anyone!) in its path.
