Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

Irish musician Liam O'Flynn is a man in touch with the rich Celtic heritage of his native land. He makes music with traditional instruments, such as the penny whistle and the uilleann pipes. Smaller than the Great Highland pipes of Scotland, the Uilleann pipes have their own special haunting sound. O'Flynn puts their unique qualities to good use in this performance of some of Ireland's best-loved tunes, including "An Droichead," "Pul Pejsen," and "The Gold Ring." O'Flynn expresses his affection and admiration for the Celtic culture and music in an interview, in which he proves to be both knowledgeable and in full possession of the Irish gift for gab and wit.
