Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The old audience-participation "trade-and-giveaway" series Let's Make a Deal was revived for the 21st century generation by NBC. The prizes were more lavish and the costumes worn by the folks in the audience were more outrageous, but essentially the original format was intact, right down to "What's Behind Doors Number 1, 2 and 3?" Billy Bush, formerly of the daily current-events series Access Hollywood, served as host, while the original Let's Make a Deal's Monty Hall was among the new series' executive producers. Running a full hour each week, the revitalized Let's Make a Deal premiered on March 4, 2003.
