Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Let's Get a Divorce was adapted by Anita Loos and John Emerson from Divorcons, a witty marital comedy by Victorien Sardou. Updating the original source material, the screenwriters were able to accommodates the talents of Billie Burke, here cast as all-around ingenue Cyprienne. A bit too immature for marriage, Cyprienne allows her pretty head to be turned by an egotistical fop (Armand Kaliz. The girl demands that her husband Prunelles (John Miltern) grant her a divorce, but he devises a scheme to bring her back into the matrimonial fold. The complications that follow were handled with care and coherency by Charles Giblyn, who did a nice job "visualizing" an essentially verbal plotline.
