Les Moutons de Panurge was one of director Jean Girault's first films, a comedy like his popular series of "gendarme" films starring Louis de Funes as Inspector Cruchot and Michel Galabru as his adjutant. In this first effort at satire, however, there are no characters that stand out strongly enough to merit a sequel, much less a series. Pascale Roberts and Darry Cowl star as a husband and wife who are each tempted to consider an extra-marital affair -- and that is all they do. The mere consideration brings up issues that make them nix the idea.
