Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this documentary, the 1970s civil war which devastated a once-prosperous Lebanon is explored. The documentary features interviews with ordinary people and key players in the conflict, as well as newsreel-type footage. Atrocities commited during that conflict are also explored. At that time, hostilities mostly involved Christians against Muslims, but there were so many factions of either group that alliances, then as now, were unstable and not to be taken for granted.
