Tag along with the New York City Police Department's elite Special Victim's Unit as they attempt to crack some of the city's toughest cases in Emmy award-winning producer Dick Wolf's spin-off of the popular television series Law & Order. Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) is a seasoned veteran and one of the city's most respected crime fighters, and when the dismembered remains of a New York City cab driver are discovered, Stabler and partner Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) hit the streets in hopes of finding answers. Serving under the guidance of gruff but fair captain Donald Cragen (Dann Florek), Stabler and Benson are joined by Detective John Munch (Richard Belzer), District Attorney Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March), and forensic psychiatrist George Huang (B.D. Wong) in their tireless efforts to bring some of the city's most heinous criminals to justice.
