Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

In this pair of concerts that focus their attentions on the career of ska legend Laurel Aitken, the "Godfather of Ska"'s closest friends stage a successful benefit for the ailing singer before a full recovery affords Aitken himself the opportunity to take the stage and give thanks to his loyal fans. Upon learning that the legendary musician had fallen ill in 2004, the owners of Club Ska teamed with some of Aitken's closest friends and colleagues to stage a sensational tribute and benefit concert. The concert was a wild success, and Aitken's subsequent recovery instilled the longtime singer with the motivation and energy to return to the stage in January of 2005. All of Aitken's old friends, including Rico, were there to help celebrate, making this one of the most memorable performances in the history of ska.
