Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Because of his progressive attitude, mining engineer Jack Landon (J. Warren Kerrigan) makes enemies of a Peruvian governor (Bertram Grassby) and the governor's aide (Harry Carter). But when he inherits a girls' seminary from his aunt, he proves helpful to Pepita, the governor's daughter (beauty contest winner Lois Wilson in her first starring role). The aide is plotting with a duenna (Maude George) to marry the girl, who is studying at the seminary, but Landon exposes them. After this, the governor befriends Landon. Universal had just promoted Kerrigan from two and three-reelers to five-reel features when this picture was made.
