Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Low-budget film company C.B.C. (which later became more famous as Columbia) acquired this British-made film that was shot in Algiers. It was based on a novel by then-popular author Ethel M. Dell. Gladys Jennings leads the cast as Stella Denvers, who lives near the border of an Indian desert. Not long after she weds Captain Ralph Dacre, he mysteriously disappears. A strange prophet comes and informs her that Dacre is dead. All along, Captain Monck has loved Stella, and now that she is a widow, they marry. Unfortunately, it turns out that Dacre is still alive, and this causes a big scandal. Stella sends her brother to discover the identity of the strange prophet, but in the meantime, Dacre is fatally wounded while fighting in a battle against the natives. This time he really is dead, leaving Stella and Monck happily united. Future MGM actor George K. Arthur has a role here -- one of his last before moving to Hollywood.
