Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Director Rangel Vulchanov's own memories of a tumultuous life are the subject matter for this warm drama. In the story, a man seeing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is plunged into a welter of flashbacks. He remembers his life in a tiny Bulgarian village. The story catches up with him at age 10, and follows him through his ordinary routine with beloved figures and animals. The main event around which the memories are organized is the marriage between the boy's "White Aunt" and "Black Uncle."
