synopsis
The title tells all in the Italian La Sepolta Viva. To clarify this point, it's important to note that the title freely translates to Buried Alive. Set about 200 years in the past, the story concerns a wicked young man who'll do anything to claim an inheritance. He even entombs his lovely sister in the family cellar. On cue, the young man gets his comeuppance, Grand Guignol fashion. La Sepolta Viva attained American bookings in the early 1950s, to capitalize on the popularity of leading lady Milly Vitale.
