synopsis
Comedians Eddie Lyons and Lee Moran both directed and starred in this screen version of the musical comedy farce by Fred Jackson. When John Smith (Lyons) marries Lucille (Anne Cornwall), a vaudeville performer, his rich aunt disinherits him. She dies and stipulates in her will that he'll get his inheritance if he gets a divorce. So John and Lucille decide to part -- temporarily -- and hire the janitor's ancient wife to serve as corespondent and accompany John to a hotel. But when they arrive, they get enmeshed in the troubles of Britton and Peggy Hughes (Moran and Gladys Walton), who are being pursued by Peggy's angry father.
