Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
The difficulties of maintaining a love triangle are exacerbated by supposed cooperation in this drama by Theodor Kallifatides. Johannes (Per Ragnar) is happily married to Lena (Lena Olin) and is the contented father of seven-year-old Markku (Erik Tamm). The only problem is that his mistress Li (Anna Godenius) wants to become a part of the family too. At first Johannes' wife is understandably reluctant to accept this menage à trois but she finally agrees and the whole, expanded family sets off for a seaside vacation. No one seems to care what Markku thinks of all this and he, in fact, has his own problems to handle. As might be expected, everyone's doubts arise once the vacation is launched.
