Synopsis by Jackie Turner-Robinson

As one of the first bands to gain mainstream popularity in the genre during the mid- to late '90s, the members of Korn have been referred to as the "Kings of Nu-Metal." This style of music combines the gritty lyrical forms of hip-hop and rap with the melodies of heavy metal. Korn: R-U Ready follows vocalist Jonathan Davis, bassist Reggie Fieldy Arvizu, guitarists James Munky Shaffer and Brian Welch, and drummer David Silveria from their roots in Southern California, through the release of their self-titled debut album in 1994, to their 1999 release Issues. Korn: R-U Ready contains exclusive footage as well as original music by Jshaw and Scat.
