Koko Taylor: Queen of the Blues is a musical profile of the internationally known female blues artist. The film profiles her life and career from her early days growing up on a sharecroppers farm in Memphis, TN, where she sang gospel, to her struggles and climb to fame. Film clips and photos provide a personal look at both her artistic and private journey. Portions of the video are filmed live at Legends nightclub in Chicago, reuniting Taylor with her mentor Willie Dixon and Buddy Guy. Her soulful, heartfelt style comes to life in the performance segments of the video which feature "Wang Dang Doodle," "Let the Good Times Roll," "Jump for Joy," and "I'm a Woman Now."
