Synopsis by Robert Firsching

This softcore Nikkatsu melodrama appropriated the bankable "Emanuelle" name despite having nothing to do with either the original Emmanuelle or the various Black Emanuelle films pouring out of Italy at the time. It's really the story of Akiko (Minako Mizushima), a high school girl being tutored by Yuko (Yuko Asuka), who only takes the position to support her cocaine habit. Meanwhile, Akiko falls for Yuko's boyfriend, who is too busy looking for the rapist who caused his old girlfriend to kill herself to really notice Akiko's attentions or the fact that Yuko is prostituting herself when she isn't tutoring or snorting coke. Genre vet Rei Okamoto is wasted in a thankless part as a schoolteacher. Director Nobuyuki Saito's debut is a tawdry little wallow in sleaze, but shows some of the black humor which permeates his follow-up, the unbelievably appalling Hirusagari No Onna: Chohatsu!
