synopsis
One of director Inagaki's vast epics, this is the story of a young peasant boy names Onoe who wants to become a warrior. Battling the feudal traditions, he eventually wins a Samurai position and is showered with the riches and beautiful women befitting his new position in society. Ambition does in all great heroes, however, and he still feels that he must face the legendary Miyamoto in order to establish himself as the famous warrior he wants to be remembered as.
