Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Directors and writers Nico Jacusso and Franz Rickenbach went into a high school and recruited likely students to put together this film on their activities, classes, sidelights, pastimes, and interests. Since the students all had input into their characters, the dialogue, and the events of the plot, the film has a semi-documentary feel that lends believability to the story, such as it is. The plot revolves around a series of disparate events -- attractions between students that come and go, the stealing of a grade book from a particularly strict teacher, the arrival of a new student, and issues raised in classes. Although slow-paced for some, the film is an original attempt to combine amateur and professional in a successful mix.
