Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Reflecting his comeback transition to smooth contemporary jazz in the late '90s -- showcased by his critically and commercially lauded albums Love's Melody, One Special Moment, From the Heart, In the Name of Love, and All for Love -- soprano saxophonist Kim Waters arrives with the concert film Kim Waters: In the Groove, shot at the Riverfront Centre Theater in Toronto in 2005. The program features live interpretations of five hits from these recent albums, including the title track. The two originals performed here are renditions of "Over the Rainbow" and "All I Want to Do (Is Please You)"."
