Synopsis by Ryan Shriver

Forlorn Katryn (Pascale Montpetit) descends into a drunken haze shortly after the death of her beloved husband Ken -- the man who rescued her from a life of anonymous sex and prodigious boozing. Now having relapsed without Ken's guidance, Katryn wrecks her car and ends up in a hospital. After spending nearly a week in the hospital doing nothing more than sobering up and reflecting on her life, Katryn leaves the hospital with the determination to carry forth as Ken would have wanted her to. As she begins to regain control of her life, she finds a new lover and helps restore the restaurant she manages to good financial standing. Her biggest difficulty becomes keeping the dog that Ken left behind under control, as the mutt frequently gets untied. On one excursion to retrieve the wandering canine, Katryn makes a couple of unexpected and completely shocking discoveries -- one about her new lover and one about her beloved Ken.
