This documentary focuses on the traditional Greek puppet theater known as the "Theatre of Shadows." Here, marionettes usually tell the story of Karaguiozis, a hero who survives and supports his struggling family with his cunning and wit. The development of this story, and the story of the artists who present it is chronicled from 1821 to 1975.
