Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by G. Ram Prasad, Kalyana Ramudu is named after its protagonist, a wedding planner (Venu) whose duties include decorating the marriage house, arranging the music, and cooking. Complications ensue when the bridegroom elopes with another woman, leaving the rather unintelligent intended bride without a suitor. Kalyana asks his own brother (Raja Ravindra) to marry the girl, while he himself falls in love with Kalyani (Nikita), the bride's sister. Though Kalyani is, indeed, in love with Kalyana, she insists on pretending she's actually enamored with Rajesh, her uncle's pop-singing son. Just when it looks like Kalyani and Kalyana will get married after all, Kalyani's father learns of the mysterious Ramadu curse and refuses to give his consent -- apparently, all of the women in Kalyana's family line die at a young age. The film also features Prabu Deva.
