synopsis
In this modest black-and-white film, Irene is a housewife who drifts in a sea of vague dissatisfactions. Her family life with her husband and daughter is pleasant, but not stimulating enough. She also has a lover, a young dreamer instead of the man of action she craves. Her husband tolerates her explorations with the lover and even a lesbian affair, but he finally loses his cool when the discarded lover starts hanging around the house, and he locks them both out.
