Lothel (Ruth Roman), Bob (Edward Norris) and Kypa (Clarence Muse) all make it safely out of the ruined temple but after returning to Tong-Gara, the latter declares himself unworthy of becoming Godac's (Clinton Rosemond) successor as Judge of the Tongghili Tribes. Bob, Chuck and Pamela (Lois Collier) continue through the jungle but arrive at the camp of Alan Courtney (Boyd Irwin), Pamela's uncle, just as the famous big game hunter is killed by one of Maati's (Napoleon Simpson henchmen. According to Jungle Jack (Budd Buster), Courtney's partner, the hunter was the only white man ever to learn the secret of the Tongghili sword, the possessor of which rules the tribes. In an effort to get rid of the pesky Pamela and blame her demise on the Americans, Maati releases Courtney's captured wildcats.
