Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Chapter six of Jungle Jim opens with Jim (Grant Withers) plunging into an (hitherto unseen) alligator-infested river at the bottom of the chasm. While one of those rare African tigers battles an especially aggressive alligator (the only such footage in existence, one would assume), Jim makes a smart getaway and is reunited with Malay Mike (Raymond Hatton), who is forced to use his last bullet on the aforementioned beast. "Ye confound tigers, always gettin' in my way," says Malay Mike. "Ye got no business in this country no how." Further down the jungle trail, our friends run right into Slade (Al Bridge), Bruce Redmond (Bryant Washburn) and Lebat (Paul Sutton). A ferocious leopard kills the latter while Jungle Jim and Malay Mike are taken prisoners by the White Cobra's native henchmen. In order to lure Joan (Betty Jane Rhodes) into his lair, the Cobra (Henry Brandon) has his drummers spread the word of an execution at sundown. But Joan's wounded shoulder prohibits her from racing to their rescue and as the chapter reaches its conclusion, Jim and Mike are staring down an archery squad.
