Controversial French author Colette's titillating novel gets adapted for the big screen with this drama starring Caroline Cellier as Julie, a woman devastated by her divorce from her charismatic husband Herbert (Jean-Louis Trintignant), who has since remarried to a wealthy and politically-connected woman.
