Seymon Pinkhasov's documentary Judge Not. . . tells the life story of Tikhon Khrennikov, a Russian composer who served as the head Composer Union of the USSR for over forty years. In that capacity, he continued to provide new works that pleased the powers that be, while simultaneously trying to protect his fellow composers who would run afoul of authorities. Khrennikov was the only person ever to hold that title, and he stayed in the position from 1948 to 1991.
