NBC's The Today Show co-hosts Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel visit many of Ireland's most beautiful areas in this program, composed of five different segments that originally aired on the morning news show. Portrayed are scenes of rolling emerald hills in the countryside, monasteries, ancient castles, and other notable landmarks. Local residents are interviewed as Couric and Gumbel try to learn more about the various problems facing modern Ireland, including the ongoing violence in certain regions of the country.
