Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Not only is Janet (Margarita Fischer) jilted by her fiance, but she also loses her family fortune -- and all in the same day! Moving to California with her brother, Janet sets up housekeeping next door to a handsome millionaire (Jack Mower), who has taken a vacation and left his estate in the hands of two elderly caretakers. When her ex-fiance and his wife arrive in town, Janet decides to get even by claiming that she has regained her fortune -- and to prove it, she "borrows" her neighbor's house for an elaborate weekend party. When the real owner shows up unexpectedly, he is so taken by Janet's beauty and vivacity that he declines to identify himself and pretends to be his own butler. To absolutely no one's surprise, Janet and her "host" fall in love, their mutual affection intensified when the mansion is invaded by a gang of comic-opera hoodlums.
