Synopsis by Betsy Boyd
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Remembered, the two-tape set, looks at the life of an American icon. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is presented as something of a beautiful chameleon, a women who reinvents herself throughout a lifetime of historic changes. When she meets John F. Kennedy, Jackie is a young reporter, naïve but intelligent. She soon becomes the luminous wife of a rising politician and later, a thoughtful first lady, forced to face tragedy head-on. A second marriage provides a fresh start and love affair, and new political causes demand her attention. Archival interview footage features Jackie and John Kennedy. The set contains Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Remembered: Part One and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Remembered: Part Two.
