Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Created by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate, the British Ivor the Engine was the animated saga of a cute little steam train, headquartered at the Llantisilly Rail Traction Corporation in Wales. Living happily in Ivor's boiler was Idris, a lovable Welsh dragon. Other anthropomorphic railroad characters included Jones the Steam and Dai Station. Originally produced between 1962 and 1964, Ivor the Engine was briefly revived by BBC1 with another batch of five-minute cartoons in 1976.
