This obscure silent western starring Franklyn Farnum was one of four produced in 1921 by William M. Smith's Merit Productions. Farnum plays an Easterner who heads West to find the villain who slaughtered his brother and sister-in-law and abducted their little child. Comic character actor Shorty Hamilton, a former vaudeville clown who had starred in westerns in the 1910s, played Farnum's sidekick in this and several other films of the period. Hamilton died tragically in March of 1925 when his car crashed into a steam shovel.
