Robert Lovell (William Courtenay) secretly marries Miss Arden (Eleanor Woodruff), who is the secretary to his father, Godfrey Lovell (Charles Kent). When his physician advises the elder Lovell to take a voyage, he invites his friend Daniel Casellis (Anders Randolph) and Daniel's daughter Dorothy (Zena Keefe) to accompany him, his son and his secretary. To make his wife jealous, Robert flirts with Dorothy, and she falls for him. Disaster strikes when a storm carries the yacht out to sea, and Robert is marooned on an island with the two women. Robert loses his memory because of a fall, and when his wife tells him they are married, Dorothy thinks that she's being an opportunist and says that he is married to her. A tribe of savages attack the trio, who are saved by a torpedo boat. A blow on the head restores Richard's memory, and he finally remembers who he married.
