Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Troubled Greenland teen Inuk (Gaaba Petersen) finds his life transformed by a tough polar-bear hunter who draws out his inner courage during an arduous dog-sled trip across the ice plains. With his mother too drunk to care for him and his stepfather too quick to anger, Inuk seeks shelter in an abandoned car, where he is soon discovered by social services. Upon arriving at a children's home on an icy island surrounded by arctic sea-ice, Inuk meets Ikuma (Ole Jorgen Hammeken), a taciturn hunter who invites him to ride with the dogs, and teaches him how to survive in the frozen wilderness. Though Inuk's psychic wounds run especially deep, Ikuma's friendship and guidance draw out his inner courage while instilling him with the strength to face the future with newfound confidence.
