Host James Lipton probes the minds of the greatest actors and filmmakers ever to grace the silver screen in this Emmy-nominated question and answer-style interview series that premiered on basic-cable giant Bravo in 1995. Taped before a live audience of Actors Studio Drama School students at New York's New School for Social Research, Inside the Actors Studio has featured such prominent talents as Paul Newman, Spike Lee, Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Depp, Susan Sarandon, and Meryl Streep, among scores of others. In addition to being the man behind the probing questions, host Lipton also serves as Dean of the Actors Studio Drama School.
