Performing an ambitious blend of progressive rock with classical accents, Emerson, Lake & Palmer was one of pop music's most unlikely success stories in the '70s, earning a huge international following for their increasingly complex music; however, the band broke up in 1978 just as the rise of disco and punk rock was wiping progressive rock off the charts, and by the time the band reunited in 1992, they were flying the flag for a form of music that was all but forgotten by the mass audience. Inside Emerson, Lake & Palmer 1970-1995 - A Critical Review is a documentary which includes rare footage of the group in their prime, as well as an in-depth analysis of the band's recorded legacy as evaluated by a panel of rock writers and musicians.
