Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
This documentary from filmmaker James Spione takes a look back at the military service of U.S. Army Specialist Ethan McCord, who rescued two surviving children from the carnage of a July 2007 incident during which U.S. attack helicopters contributed to the deaths of two Reuters journalists and a number of civilians. The infantryman struggled with PTSD following the events he witnessed during the Iraq War, and eventually became a key figure in the community of PTSD sufferers whose experiences left them with a much different perspective regarding the American involvement in the Middle East than what they began with.
