Part of the In Search Of series, this documentary explores the dark, secret world of voodoo. Narrated by series host Leonard Nimoy, this video heads into the world of voodoo rites, ceremonies, and rituals. This video travels to Haiti for a reenactment of Rada, the joyous voodoo celebration, and Petro, a voodoo celebration that occurs with the releasing of vengeful spirits. With the Petro, the possessed subject, whether animal or human, leaves its body on Earth while its inhabiting spirit takes off to wherever it wishes. There is also an interview with a priest who talks about the harmful, wicked effects voodoo produces, and explains how he is determined to stop these rites from occurring.
