Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

Part of the In Search Of series, this documentary tries to explain the phenomenon of the ancient stones in Great Britain, commonly known as Stonehenge. Narrated by series host Leonard Nimoy, the video asks the question of why and how these evenly placed gigantic stones were positioned the way they are. Scientists discuss how these boulder-like stones have lasted for thousands of years, withstood the test of time, and endured the elements. The video also shows actual footage from the site of Stonehenge and offers a variety of different opinions and theories regarding the existence and placement of the stones. Some think it is a calendar of some kind, whereas others think the large stones might have been placed in their neat circle by aliens or other beings.
