Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

This documentary details the controversial life and death of Butch Cassidy. During his life in the late 19th century, he was known for being a gun-slinging outlaw who rustled cattle and robbed banks and trains. After he spent time in prison, he formed a partnership with the Sundance Kid. To escape authorities, they fled to South America and tried to lead a respectable life. But they soon returned to a life of crime and traveled all over South America robbing trains and banks until the authorities finally caught up with them in 1909 in Bolivia. This story has been second-guessed ever since, with many different versions and speculations of their actual demise. One account claims their deaths didn't take place until 1911 in Uruguay. Other stories report that Cassidy came back to the United States and roamed about the country before he eventually died.
