In Search of Ancient Ireland, Episode III: Warlords investigates the 150 years of war in Ireland. Gerard McSorley narrates. This hour-long program begins with the Vikings seizing control and the murder of King Brian Boru. In 1155, Pope Adrian IV gives King Henry II of England permission to conquer and rule Ireland. The English seize control over the Irish, leading to a long legacy of turmoil. Originally broadcast on PBS in June of 2002.
