synopsis
Egotistical Tuccio is a turn-of-the-century playwright who has written a new play, Illuminata, and would like to see it performed. Unfortunately, foppish critic Bevalaqua is unimpressed and issues a vicious attack on the production. Diva Celimene then seduces Tuccio with her promises to bring him worldwide fame.
