Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The criminals, killers, and prostitutes of a crime-ridden London community fight to escape the same grim fate that has claimed so many before them in this ensemble drama from musical artist-turned-filmmaker Ben Drew (aka Plan B). In Forest Gate, every day is a struggle for survival. When low-level drug dealer Ed (Ed Skrein) attempts to recover the cost of a misplaced cell phone by pimping out desperate crack addict Michelle (Anouska Mond) to anyone who comes knocking, his longtime partner Aaron (Riz Ahmed) experiences a serious crisis of conscience. Meanwhile, wide-eyed youth Jake (Ryan De La Cruz) takes his first steps toward becoming a cold-blooded killer-for-hire, Eastern European sex slave Katya (Natalie Press) fights to protect her child from a band of vicious gangsters, and old friends Kirby (Keef Coggins) and Chris (Lee Allen) clash in a crisis that soon turns deadly.
